Happy New Year!!! \u00a0I don\u2019t know what happened to 2015, but it feels like it flew by. \u00a0It was a pretty big year for us, here. \u00a0Not only did we build a pool, but we also fulfilled my husband\u2019s one wish and that was to build a workshop. \u00a0It\u2019s so close to being finished, and we can\u2019t wait to move all of our tools out of the garage and start getting it all set up. \u00a0I shared the beginning phase of construction earlier this last year. \u00a0It has been quite the project, but it will be worth it in the end. \u00a0My biggest goal was met in 2015 when I FINALLY learned how to draw my own project plans. \u00a0I can\u2019t even begin to tell you how excited I was to finally learn that. \u00a0I\u2019ve still got a ways to go before I\u2019ve mastered the art of Sketchup, but that will come with time and practice. \u00a0I\u2019ve got so many projects and ideas to share with you all in 2016 and I can\u2019t wait to get started on them! \u00a0In the meantime, I\u2019ve put together my most popular posts from 2015. \u00a0Some of these posts are from previous years, but they still seem to keep their momentum going, which is totally fine by me. \u00a0Without further delay, here\u2019s the list!<\/p>\n

15. \u00a0DIY Fall Centerpiece<\/h3>\n

This project was one of my first projects on the blog, but it\u2019s simplicity helps it to remain a reader favorite year after year. \u00a0I love bringing it out each year and transitioning it from fall to Christmas as the seasons change.<\/p>\n

14. \u00a0Turn A Tire Into A Gorgeous Planter<\/h3>\n

Earlier this year, I was challenged to turn an old tire into something amazing in honor of Earth Day. \u00a0With a little creativity and some rope, I was able to turn an ugly old tire into a beautiful planter.<\/p>\n

13. \u00a0Make Giant Christmas Ornaments from Tires<\/h3>\n

Never would I have guessed that a project that I posted only a couple of weeks ago would make it into my top posts for the entire year, but this project was way more popular than I could have ever imagined! \u00a0Again, I was challenged to recycle tires and figure out a way to reuse them. \u00a0This time, I turned them into giant Christmas ornaments for yard decor. \u00a0This is one of my favorite projects and I\u2019m so blown away by the attention they received!<\/p>\n

12. \u00a0IKEA Tarva Dresser Hack<\/h3>\n

I competed in a contest to turn an IKEA Tarva chest into a creative hack. \u00a0I turned it into an awesome bar cabinet! \u00a0<\/p>\n

\u00a011. \u00a0DIY Bicycle and Scooter Rack<\/h3>\n

This bike and scooter rack has been such a game changer. \u00a0No more\u00a0tripping over bikes and losing helmets all of the time. \u00a0Everything stays organized!<\/p>\n

10. \u00a0Pallet Wall<\/h3>\n

This pallet wall is probably one of my favorite improvements to our house. \u00a0It makes a HUGE difference in this hallway and grabs everyone\u2019s attention when they visit.<\/p>\n

9. \u00a0DIY Farmhouse Table<\/h3>\n

Another oldie but a goodie is our DIY farmhouse table. \u00a0This table gets used every day and the extensions make it fit even more of a crowd.<\/p>\n

8. \u00a012 Days of Christmas Neighbor Gifts<\/h3>\n

This simple and fun gift idea is perfect to surprise your neighbors during the Christmas season. \u00a0You can drop the gifts off each night or leave them a special note to open only one gift per night.<\/p>\n

7. \u00a0How We Built Our Own Pool<\/h3>\n

Earlier this year, we contracted out and supervised our own pool build. \u00a0It was quite the adventure, but we learned a TON from it and I shared all of our lessons, and the cost breakdown for anyone looking to build their own pool as well.<\/p>\n

6. \u00a0Painted Kitchen Towels<\/h3>\n

These towels continue to remain popular every year and they make an awesome gift idea! \u00a0By huge demand, I even started selling them on Etsy and have added tons of new designs!<\/p>\n

5. \u00a0Patriotic Mason Jar Lanterns<\/h3>\n

\u00a0<\/p>\n

These lanterns have been such a hit and they are so easy to make! \u00a0They look great in the daytime or at nighttime.<\/p>\n

4. \u00a0Laundry Pedestal<\/h3>\n

Aside from our farmhouse table, this is the project that gets the most use in our house. \u00a0We love that the kids can sort their own laundry and that we can so easily switch loads between the washer and dryer.<\/p>\n

3. \u00a0Apple Pie Moonshine<\/h3>\n

This recipe is so good, you\u2019ll think you\u2019re drinking apple pie! \u00a0Sip it, mix it with some gingerale, or pour it over ice cream. \u00a0Either way, it\u2019s amazing!<\/p>\n

2. \u00a0How To Build Your Own Butcher Block<\/h3>\n

This post consistently is in my top 5 every day. \u00a0Never did I imagine, though, that a post about how to build a butcher block counter would be so controversial. \u00a0However you want to call it, there\u2019s no denying that building one yourself is so much cheaper than buying a pre-fab top.<\/p>\n

And the number one most popular post in 2015 is\u2026.Peach Pie Moonshine!<\/h3>\n

\u00a0<\/p>\n

I know, I know. \u00a0A recipe being the most popular post on a DIY blog is strange, but this recipe is definitely one that ranks high among anyone who has tried it. \u00a0It\u2019s easy to make and great to give as gifts. \u00a0With the NFL playoffs and Super Bowl coming up, it\u2019s a great cocktail to share with your friends, too!<\/p>\n
