Hey there, friends! \u00a0Happy July! \u00a0Today, I\u2019m teaming up with RYOBI Nation and\u00a0sharing the plans for this adorable little garden<\/strong>\u00a0for kids. \u00a0They\u2019re also letting me give one lucky ready $300 in RYOBI Power Tools! \u00a0<\/p>\n

RYOBI challenged several bloggers to come up with a kids\u2019 oasis project for summer. \u00a0My boys are 9 and 11, so coming up with an idea that would appeal to them was a little tricky. \u00a0I thought of a play house, but I\u2019d end up burning it down the second I found a snake in it. \u00a0I kept running ideas through my head until I realized the best people to ask were my kids! \u00a0Duh! \u00a0My oldest didn\u2019t really care, so I asked my youngest what he would like and he said he would REALLY like his own garden. \u00a0He\u2019s been begging for me to build one for a while and a pint sized garden would be absolutely perfect for him! \u00a0He\u2019d have his very own little space where he gets to choose what grows in it and care for it all by himself. \u00a0He even drew out the design! \u00a0<\/p>\n

Needless to say, you couldn\u2019t wipe the smile off of his face when we went to Home Depot to buy all of the plants and potting soil. \u00a0Watching him carefully plan out his garden was so much fun, and what better way to get them to\u00a0want\u00a0<\/em>to eat veggies than let them grow their own! \u00a0He is so good about tending to it, too! \u00a0Every single morning, the minute he wakes up, he\u2019s outside watering it. \u00a0I love how it is teaching him responsibility.<\/p>\n

He even painted pots to hang on the garden for herbs. \u00a0This little cactus one is definitely my favorite.<\/p>\n
