challenge was to create a DIY game. \u00a0With summer just around the corner and kids being home from school, it\u2019s the perfect time to come up with new games for everyone to enjoy together. adults and kids alike will enjoy! \u00a0This DIY backyard chip shot golf game is a combination of corn hole and golf and so much fun to play. \u00a0I\u2019ll be showing you how I built it in a step by step tutorial, as well as printable plans and a YouTube video, so follow along! \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>I\u2019m partnering with <strong>DAP Products<\/strong> to bring you this tutorial today. boards in the materials. \u00a0I happened to have a healthy amount of leftover plywood from other projects, so I just used that for the entire game board. \u00a0If you have scrap leftover, definitely and mark where the holes will be drilled in the top of the game board. \u00a0The holes are spaced 4\u2033 apart on center and 4\u2033 down. \u00a0All of the measurements are included in the printable plans. \u00a0Once the holes are marked, drill them out using a 3 1\/2\u2033 hole saw. \u00a0I would not recommend using a jigsaw for this step as the holes are too small and the cuts will not be as board. \u00a0Drill pilot holes around all four edges of the game board, add a <strong>bead of carpenter\u2019s glue<\/strong> to the top of the frame, then fit the board onto the frame. \u00a0Attach game board. \u00a0I eyeballed a center location on the leg, then drilled a 3\/8\u2033 hole for the carriage bolts to fit through.<\/p>\n<h2>Step 6<\/h2>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" wood as a spacer between the front of the frame and the leg. \u00a0Finish drilling the hole for the carriage bolts through the side of the frame. \u00a0Secure the carriage bolts with nylon lock upright and use two pieces of stacked wood to mark the angle for the legs to sit flat on the ground. \u00a0Cut the legs at the mark with a jigsaw. \u00a0Sand smooth with sand paper or sanding cement<\/strong> to the top of the board. \u00a0The contact cement will keep the astro turf from lifting and having any bumps. \u00a0Apply the contact cement in a well ventilated area.<\/p>\n<h2>Step \u00a0Staple the grass down working from one end of the board and smoothing it as you go. \u00a0Flip the board and cut away any excess turf. \u00a0Cut out the turf in the drilled holes.<\/p>\n<p>As an optional step, you can also make a hitting pad out of additional plywood and astro turf. \u00a0This allows the game to be played anywhere, even when there isn\u2019t grass.<\/p>\n<h2>How To Play Chip Shot Golf<\/h2>\n<p>Once your game boards are finished, add some plastic cups to the holes. \u00a0You can find plastic golf balls online or at stores like Walmart and Target. \u00a0There are a number of ways to play this backyard chip shot golf game. \u00a0We have put together some rules that we think will make the game super fun to play. \u00a0You can find those and the <span style=\"color:
