Sand the rough side smooth with 120 grit sandpaper. \u00a0I cut the rails down to size at 47\u2033 long with a 15 degree angle on the bottom.<\/p>\n<h2>Step 2<\/h2>\n<div of the rails on my bandsaw. \u00a0This can also easily be done using a jigsaw. \u00a0Mine happened to be in the house from another project and I was just too lazy to walk back to get it. \u00a0You can also just leave them as is and not round them off at all!<\/p>\n<h2>Step 3<\/h2>\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" to drill holes for the bolts to fit through. \u00a0I used a 3\/8\u2033 drill bit for the holes.<\/p>\n<h2>How To Cut Metal Pipe<\/h2>\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure rungs. \u00a0I grabbed my <span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><strong>Milwaukee M18 Fuel 18-Volt Brushless Cordless Sawzall<\/strong> <\/span>and fitted it with the <span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><strong>Torch carbide teeth metal reciprocating saw blade<\/strong><\/span>. \u00a0I loved how simple it was to get set up to cut. \u00a0No cords to try to find outlets for. \u00a0I added the battery from my <span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><strong>M18 XC8.0ah starter kit<\/strong><\/span> and got to work. \u00a0The torch blade cut through the conduit like a hot knife through butter. \u00a0The high output battery made my Sawzall perform like it was running off a 15amp cord. \u00a0All of the Milwaukee M18 batteries work with the 175+ tools in the M18 line, which makes swapping out batteries and tools extremely easy. \u00a0I was able to charge my <span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><strong>M18 3ah batteries<\/strong><\/span> on the same charger and swap them out, if needed. \u00a0They also offer an amazing amount of power, but in a more compact size.<\/p>\n<p>My plan was to use epoxy as \u201cglue\u201d for the conduit to fit inside the holes I drilled in the rails. \u00a0Unfortunately, my 7\/8\u2033 forstner bit was too small and my 1\u2033 forstner bit was too large. \u00a0I still attempted to attach the rails using 5 minute epoxy, but it just wasn\u2019t working out, so I scrapped the idea and bought wood dowels.<\/p>\n<div class=\"mailmunch-forms-in-post-middle\" style=\"display: none !important;\"><\/div>\n<h2>Step 4<\/h2>\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"576\" 3\/8\u2033 forstner bit to drill out the holes that I had previously drilled. \u00a0These holes are about 1\/4\u2033 deep. \u00a0I had already pre-stained the rails for the rack as well using an outdoor weatherproofing stain and let it dry overnight.<\/p>\n<h2>Step 5<\/h2>\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" side of the rack, I cut the rungs at 24\u2033 long. \u00a0For the other side, I cut the rungs at 22 1\/2\u2033 long. \u00a0This allows one side of the rack to fit between the rails on the other side.<\/p>\n<p>With the holes drilled out, I added wood glue to each of them, then inserted the dowels. \u00a0I cleaned up any glue seepage, then clamped them together to dry.<\/p>\n<h2>Step 1\/2\u2033 bolts. \u00a0I added a washer to each side and secured the bolts with nylon lock nuts. \u00a0I used my new <span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><strong>Milwaukee ratcheting wrench set<\/strong><\/span> and <strong><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">mechanic\u2019s<\/span> socket\/ratchet set<\/strong>. \u00a0I can\u2019t even explain how much I love these two tool sets. \u00a0I\u2019ve been wanting my own socket and wrench set out in the shop for quite a while. \u00a0I always end up borrowing my husband\u2019s tools and it annoys both of us that I have to do that. \u00a0Unfortunately, my husband want\u2019s to lay claim to these and pass his old sets on to me. \u00a0There\u2019s been quite a bit of back and forth about these two sets since they arrived, which leads me to believe I need to put some sort of booby trap on my toolbox drawer to keep him out;) \u00a0<\/p>\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" and the case keeps them neatly organized. \u00a0Another great function of the sockets is that they have flat sides so they won\u2019t go rolling away and get lost when I\u2019m quickly switching out sockets. \u00a0The <span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><strong>ratcheting wrenches<\/strong><\/span> work amazingly well. \u00a0If you want to tighten or loosen a bolt, you just flip the wrench to either side. \u00a0The open end of the wrench also boasts MAX BITE notches to give you more torque when tightening nuts and bolts. \u00a0The handy carrying case makes it easy to take with you over to
