Hey there, everyone! \u00a0Over the past few weeks, we have been making some MAJOR updates to our bedroom. \u00a0One of those updates is brand new waterproof laminate flooring to replace our tired carpet. \u00a0I\u2019m partnering with The Home Depot<\/strong><\/span> today to show you what we chose, how to install it and what my ABSOLUTE favorite tools are for installing flooring. \u00a0This is now the 5th flooring project we\u2019ve done at our house, I feel like I\u2019ve really narrowed down the list to what makes the job go the fastest and the easiest. \u00a0<\/p>\n

We have been slowly swapping out the carpet in our house with laminate<\/strong><\/span> and our bedroom was the final room on the list! \u00a0We couldn\u2019t wait to get rid of our old carpet that has been used and abused over the past 8+ years. \u00a0With two growing boys and a dog, it took a beating.<\/p>\n

The flooring we chose is Pergo Outlast+ in Java Scraped Oak<\/span><\/strong>. \u00a0There were so many amazing color choices, so it was definitely a tough decision. \u00a0The darker flooring contrasts so well with our grey walls and white trim and I\u2019m planning to build all new furniture in our room that will also be a lighter color to also contrast against the wood.<\/p>\n

This flooring is so easy to install and once you get started, the process goes so quickly. \u00a0In fact, had we not decided to also wall in our bathroom, we\u2019d have had the flooring installed in just a day. \u00a0Between framing in the wall, drywall, and then realizing we needed to repaint our entire room (we couldn\u2019t get the color to match), the flooring took a bit longer than planned. \u00a0I don\u2019t regret it one bit, though. \u00a0Our new bedroom looks so amazing now! \u00a0To see the full reveal and all of the details of the process and my favorite tools to use, head over to The Home Depot blog<\/strong><\/span>! \u00a0<\/p>\n
