With so many different types of miter saws, brands, sizes, etc., it can be so hard to know what would be the best saw for you. Honestly, no two people are alike in what they are looking for, so needs and wants will be different. I\u2019m partnering with my friends from The Home Depot to talk with you about the Bosch 12 inch dual-bevel sliding glide miter saw. Like I said, there are a ton of great saws out there, and hopefully this review will help you in your decision-making process.<\/p>\n

I have been using this saw for a little over two months now and have used almost all of the features on it, other than cutting on a bevel. The first thing I noticed when I set it up was that I need to make some adjustments to my miter saw station. For starters, I\u2019ll need to move the fence forward and then also adjust the height of the table tops on each side. For the moment, I have it sitting on a piece of 3\/4\u201d plywood and it\u2019s pretty close to being the correct height. I kind of knew when I built this that no two saws would be alike, and the beauty of DIY is that I can make modifications to it pretty easily.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/figure>\n

Probably my MOST FAVORITE feature on this saw is the axial-glide system. The saw glides in and out on an arm, which is basically like magic. Honestly, I have no idea how it works and doesn\u2019t affect the alignment of the saw blade, but it cuts SO straight and well, so I don\u2019t waste too much time trying to figure it out. BUT, the best part of this axial-glide system is that it allows me to have my miter saw station fully against the wall! For me, this was huge. I used to have my miter saw station off the wall a good 12-18\u201d and it was so annoying with the buildup of sawdust back there and it was just wasted space.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/figure>\n

The axial-glide system looks a bit like a robot arm, but it really does glide so smoothly. I can\u2019t think of a time when I have had smoother and more effortless cuts on a miter saw. It also allows for an expanded cutting capacity of 14\u201d, so no worries when cutting wider pieces of wood or plywood.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/figure>\n

Another really well thought out and amazing feature on this saw is the ambidextrous trigger handle. This allows you to make cuts with either your left or right hand, which is so helpful. So many times I will be cutting and holding material on one side of the blade or another and being able to easily activate the saw with either hand is so nice. With my old saw, this was basically a two-handed operation if I was using my left hand to operate the saw.<\/p>\n

While the axial-gliding system makes this saw amazing for cutting wider stock, you don\u2019t always need to use the gliding action. Thankfully it is basically as quick as flipping a switch to keep it locked in the neutral home position. Seriously, so many things about this saw are so well thought out! <\/p>\n

\"\"<\/figure>\n

Adjusting the miter on the saw is very easy as well. Just loosen the knob and pull up the locking handle. There are notches in the base so the lock will fall into place on certain measurements, but the threaded knob will hold it in place on all of the others.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/figure>\n

I\u2019ll be honest, it\u2019s really hard to find anything negative about this saw. If I were to nitpick one thing, it would be the clamp to hold the stock down. It\u2019s a threaded clamp and there\u2019s no way to move it up or down without twisting the knob. I used to have a saw that had a quick release clamp and it was awesome. But honestly, for all of the incredible features on this saw, the very minor inconvenience of having to turn the knob up or down is nothing.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/figure>\n

I could literally go on and on about this Bosch miter saw. I use it almost daily and have been so incredibly happy with how smooth and accurate my cuts are.
